Involving new people

  • Breathing Games: we organise a weekly meeting where we invite new people to participate
    • Developing Digital Games to Address Airway Clearance Therapy in Children With Cystic Fibrosis: Participatory Design Process. JMIR Serious Games 2018; 6(4). https://doi.org/10.2196/games.8964.

    • Game Jams to Co-Create Respiratory Health Games Prototypes as Participatory Research Methodology. Forum: Qualitative Social Research 2018: 19(3). DOI: https://doi.org/10.17169/fqs-19.3.2734.
  • Aura is developing a patch on epilepsy, an introductory document was not used, we made short videos for people joining the project. We also organise a weekly meeting with our contributors.
  • One possible solution is to provide a basic income through a Telos software -  IOS/IO- http://www.acorns.fun - l’idée est que la personne crée un compte pour recevoir des fonds virtuels - présentations à voir sur https://www.slideshare.net/mobile/Chrisaiki/acorn-a-decentralised-free-currency-available-to-all - https://www2.slideshare.net/Chrisaiki/la-monnaie-gratuite-acorn-238685800.
  • example from the Seeds community http://joinseeds.com, a network of non-profit organisations, developing for example 3d printed hand prostheses, local food networks, groups that collect waste - the people who join receive virtual credits - the idea is that this currency can be used in the community to obtain other services in order to reinvest these currencies in the network of partners - if the currency is exchanged in traditional currencies, it loses value - transactions are free of charge (delegate proof of concept blockchain) - the community also has a voting system to distribute a set of virtual funds to different organisations - this also creates an incentive for communities to join the system quickly - 1 Seed = 1. 6 hundred €, increasing by 3. 3% every fortnight at every half moon - Discord I am chrisaiki#0734 or chrisparot5@gmail.com - we have 400 members at the moment with 200 organisations, there is a new mentoring school, with a rapid evolution - at the beginning of the project there is a great commitment and if the success is there it will continue, with attention to the atmosphere - there is also a current willingness to develop a model based on human values, spirituality, to contribute to new communities - for example Aura may decide to sell 10% of the patch on Seeed, as well as other organisations, in order to improve the offer of services on the market, with community management of money creation.

Retaining active contributors

  • Breathing Games: in the beginning we did small co-creation events, which multiplied the projects - now we have fewer events with a few specialists who develop the projects over the time between events.
  • Aura: health projects last a long time. To keep the heart of an active contributor, we have set up task forces around themes, ensuring peer-to-peer exchanges to promote knowledge transfer over time. The partners are also important, which makes it possible to federate contributions over the long term, particularly at the level of care providers. Co-creation and interdisciplinarity is very important because the approach to health is still very fragmented.
